India’s EV Charging Is Evolving Fast—How Teslavolts Is Pushing the Frontier

India’s EV moment is here. Public and private players are racing to deploy reliable, intelligent charging that can scale from gated communities to highways and heavy-duty depots. The challenge isn’t just installing hardware—it’s orchestrating uptime, payments, load balancing, grid friendliness, and great driver experiences. That’s exactly where Teslavolts steps in.

We’re building an end-to-end stack: AI/ML-enhanced IC3 controllers inside chargers, a cloud-native CSMS that automates operations and energy management, and a slick driver app with smart features like trip planning and host-a-charger. Our approach is open and interoperable (OCPP-first), so CPOs and fleets can use best-in-class hardware while getting enterprise-grade software, analytics, and support.

Why advanced CSMS matters

Modern charging networks live or die by software. A capable CSMS reduces downtime, optimizes load in real-time, supports flexible tariffs, and gives operators the tools to scale profitably. Around the world, several strong platforms show what “good” looks like:

  • Wevo Energy – known for sophisticated load management and a deep OCPP focus. WEVO Energy
  • Driivz – enterprise EV charging and energy management platform used by large networks globally. Driivz
  • ChargeLab – developer-friendly CSMS with public APIs and broad OCPP hardware support. ChargeLab
  • EV Connect – scalable platform for businesses and governments, with strong fleet/utility integrations. EV Connect
  • Monta – operator and driver tools under one umbrella, rapidly expanding globally. Monta

Teslavolts × Wevo: exploring collaboration for India

We’re in active discussions to leverage Wevo Energy’s load-balancing and CSMS expertise for select deployments in India—pairing it with our IC3 controller and local market know-how. The goal: faster rollouts, higher uptime, and grid-friendly sites that scale without painful custom builds.

Built with academia, built for scale

On the R&D front, Teslavolts works with IIT Delhi power-electronics faculty and students to research high-capacity systems—targeting 500 kW+ DC fast charging architectures suited to India’s grid realities. This complements our production-ready line of DC fast chargers (30–240 kW) and AC chargers (7–22 kW), all orchestrated by our AI-enabled CSMS.

What makes Teslavolts different

  • AI/ML inside the charger (IC3) for smarter, safer, more battery-friendly sessions.
  • Open, interoperable CSMS (OCPP-first) with real-time analytics, dynamic pricing, energy optimization, and fleet tools.
  • Developer-ready APIs for partners who want to integrate payments, loyalty, or energy markets.
  • India-fit rollouts: rapid onboarding of multi-vendor hardware, localized payments, and SLA-driven operations.

The road ahead

From residential and workplace clusters to highway hubs and heavy-duty depots, Teslavolts is building the software-defined foundation India’s EV ecosystem needs. With global-grade CSMS practices, potential collaboration with Wevo, and deep applied research with IIT Delhi, we’re helping the industry move faster—without sacrificing reliability, security, or profitability.
